Understand, design, validate

The Lab treats crew performance as a design input, not an afterthought measured once a habitat is already built. Our approach combines space architecture training with NASA Human Research Program literature and direct analog-mission testing, so recommendations are grounded in how crews actually behave under real constraints, not just how they're supposed to behave on paper.

We work directly with engineering teams and mission planners to reduce crew error, evaluate new hardware and procedures before they reach flight, and build habitat designs around the workload, fatigue, and confinement realities of the mission they're actually meant for.
