Anastasia has joined Ethereal Matter as an advisor, deepening a collaboration that began with MEK. The technical breakthrough: instead of the neutral-buoyancy water-tank methods NASA still relies on to rehearse spacewalks, MEK reproduces the real forces of an EVA through a full-body haptic system. A crew member feels accurate force feedback at the hands and body, so they train the actual motor patterns, tool interactions, and fatigue of a spacewalk on the ground — faster to reset, cheaper to run, and closer to the real task than a pool allows. Built in Sausalito, MEK has been through a five-office coordinated review at NASA Marshall and is in conversation with Johnson and Marshall toward Artemis integration.

Beck Carpenter's documentary The Space Architect premiered in New York, telling the story of Constance Adams, NASA's TransHab architect and a formative influence on the field of space architecture. Stellar Amenities has supported the film's release, helping bring it to a Los Angeles screening in Culver City the following week and connecting it with the space architecture community more broadly. Part of the same commitment to preserving the field's history that runs through the Library of Human Spaceflight.
Anastasia Prosina is a space architect, entrepreneur, and author who founded Stellar Amenities, a strategic advisory firm that aids commercial space companies in market entry and habitat design. A recognized industry leader named to the 2023 Payload Pioneers 30 Under 30 list, her work includes an award-winning research paper on self-assembling habitats at the MIT Media Lab, developing zero-gravity tactile wayfinding tools for disabled astronauts with AstroAccess, and authoring the forthcoming book, Space Wombism: The Next Billion Years of Human Shelter. She holds a B.Arch in Urban Planning from Novosibirsk State University and an MS in Space Architecture from the University of Houston.
During the Evermay Future Fellows residency, Anastasia is working to preserve sixty years of human spaceflight knowledge that is at risk of permanent loss due to federal defunding and the retirement of senior NASA personnel. To address this, she is building the Library of Human Spaceflight, an initiative that applies a conservation-finance framework to treat critical spaceflight knowledge as a civilizational commons requiring formal stewardship. During her residency, she will draft a publishable framework on this concept and convene DC-based policy discussions focused on crew health commercialization, accessibility standards, and the governance of orbital resources. Her goal is to shift federal regulations to recognize spaceflight knowledge stewardship as protected public infrastructure rather than just proprietary intellectual property.
This will run as part of the Evermay Future Fellows residency. For sixty years, institutions like the Smithsonian have carefully preserved the history of human spaceflight, and that work continues today. But as spaceflight shifts from a handful of agencies to a broad field of commercial and international actors, who preserves and carries that knowledge forward is no longer settled. This is a parallel effort suited to that new landscape: commercial and emerging space actors preserving and transferring knowledge alongside the institutions — the Smithsonian, the California Academy of Sciences, the de Young — already doing this well. We treat this knowledge as a civilizational commons: something that belongs to the field as a whole and requires formal stewardship, not something any one company can quietly let lapse.
